KJCA is run by a volunteer committee which meets regularly throughout the year, and we hold an Annual General Meeting each autumn which is open to all. The current committee members are:

Our coaching team is led by Grandmaster Chris Ward, former British Champion and respected author. We are also supported by Grandmaster John Emms and a team of experienced coaches including FIDE Master Andy Mack, Andrew Hon, Chris Rice, William Jones and Jacob Wildman.
Head of Coaching – Grandmaster Chris Ward
Chris won the British Championships in 1996, earning the GM title in the process. He is the author of over 25 books and has made several opening DVDs and YouTube videos. Known as a specialist on the Sicilian Dragon Variation, won a gold medal (alongside John) with the England over 50 team. He has also been the chief coach for the England junior squad and the England ladies team.
Grandmaster John Emms
John tied for first in the 1997 British Championships. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1995 and was the 2002 Captain of the English Olympiad team. He is the author of a number of acclaimed books and along with Chris is one of the most respected coaches in the country. John has successfully represented the England senior team on numerous occasions.
